After many months of preparation, the JBMA 8th grade class traveled to New York City last week to represent the Republic of Venezuela at the 2018 Montessori Model United Nations Conference. The students presented position papers that addressed a variety of topics that reflected real issues faced by the world. Each team was able to brainstorm and create draft resolutions with other montessori students from all over the world!
The class was able to spend some additional time outside the conference exploring New York, visiting the top of Rockafeller Center, and seeing where the World Trade Center once stood. It was a successful trip, and our 8th grade will take their newfound skills with them wherever they go!
